MG Motor UK Latest SUV Cars With MG ZS EV Review
MG is now accepting orders for the brand’s first electric model just as the new registration plate is introduced.
The ZS has been a big seller for MG but the arrival of an electric version – which will be sold alongside conventional petrol versions in the UK – is a major step forward. Also, the new MG ZS EV will be the first of several new cars arriving in the next two years as the brand expands its model lineup.
MG remains the fastest-growing car manufacturer in the UK due to a record-breaking month of sales in September. New sales figures from MG are showing 23rd consecutive month of growth for the brand as it remains on track to achieve its mid-term growth plan. September was particularly memorable for MG as they introduced their first-ever all-electric car MG ZS EV and saw their sales figures increase by 35 per cent, versus the same month in 2018.
The price of the new model starts from £21,495 – and in the current electric market that is something of a bargain.
Powered by a 44.5 kWh water-cooled battery, the ZS EV boasts an impressive rapid-charging capability but owners can also plug in at home on a standard 7kW unit, enjoying a full charge in six-and-a-half hours.
Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Assist featuring automatic low-speed steering, Blind Spot Detection, Autonomous Emergency Braking and Pedestrian Alert Control System are fitted as standard on every ZS EV. All of these new features and more is what makes ZS EV it the most advanced product in MG’s portfolio.
With production of the MG GS ended at the beginning of this year the ZS is now the largest model in MG’s line up. And the seven-year warranty that comes with it speaks volumes for MG’s confidence in it.
